In almost all of Cabo, they will accept US dollars. This means you do not need to exchange your USD for Pesos.
We recommend that you bring small bills as they are convenient for tips. We usually get $100 in 1’s and 5’s, as tipping in Cabo goes a long way, and is extremely appreciated by the staff. The servers and the bellman are extremely helpful and friendly – even more so when tipped.
If you have Canadian money you will want to exchange it for USD or Pesos. We recommend exchanging for USD.
We do not recommend using the Kiosk at the airport as the exchange rate is more expensive and they have a high transaction fee

The water at Villa La Estancia is desalinated seawater and is safe to drink. It may taste a little different from the water you drink at home, but safe to drink. Also, our fridge has a filtered water dispenser, this is the water I drink as it makes the taste more desirable. Of course, bottled water is available for purchase in the resort and at any grocery store.
Most of the nice hotels and restaurants use purified water.
